Turley on NSA Spying: “I don’t know of a more potential charge
George Washington University Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley says that the latest NSA warrantless wiretapping revelations – wherein the administration knowingly broke the law and continued spying on American citizens after top DoJ officials refused to certify the legality of the program — make this a "clear impeachable offense."

A fresh start to an old location
The previous posts on this blog have been all about transcribing my fights on the Huffingtonpost with the regulars when I was a neophyte, but I'm not a neophyte any longer.
This blog will become more of a narrative and speculation on the things that occur to me-
be patient, school is almost out ....

Darwinita Makes New Friends Part II, or: How I Hijacked the Thread (mwah hahaha!)
Since then, it appears that there has been a non-stop food fight on this thread all day, leading to virtually no enlightened discussion - all of which serves to benefit those who gain by this ridiculous crap. Rove is laughing at you!
Thalia...
You are a tool.
These Rovian plants come in here and poke you in the eye and you spend the entire day tying up the threads trading insults.
Nothing that I have ever posted on these pages is as damaging to this blog as a nonstop, day long bitch-fest.
Knock It Off!
NO PERSONAL ATTACKS.
NO PROFANITY.
STOP. By: plunger on May 10, 2006 at 06:50pm
Please list one insult or profanity I have thrown at anyone.
Darwinita seems to think that I should apologize to BJ for BJ's calling my father an incestuous molester (I'm also humorless and shrill for not seeing the humor in that, or bashing 9/11 widows), for telling me he's going to come to my home to have sex with me, for making up poetry to me about penises nad vulvas, and now for bashing 9/11 victims.
BJ ceded that maybe he shouldn't have accused my father of incest, an apology that lasted about two hours before he threw that one out again.
Darwinita cannot tell me what point I'm supposed to cede to BJ on, since I've never personally attacked BJ and merely addressed directly his vulgarity directed at me.
Darwinita has a savior complex and seems to think if she can just get all playing fields level, there will be peace and harmony.
Problem is, I've never attacked BJ or Neo with any vulgarity or personal assaults, but I'm supposed to cede something, I have no idea what, to them.
I do not lob insults back and forth. Laughing jovially at the vicious attacks the right puts out, the lies and slander and smear, in order to avoid actually dicussing issues, got John Kerry VERY far, didn't it Darwinita?
And again, Darwinita, you walked in here today not having a CLUE that this was about BJ's bashing of a 9/11 widow, which I find offensive, you clearly do not. At no time did I mention BJ's other vulagarities, yet you went on an on about them. But that was NOT the case here, so you were preaching without any knowledge of the topic.
You want to defend the bashing of 9/11 widows? Go ahead. I want to condemn it, I will.
But get your facts right before you go sermonizing to others. And I noticed you completely left Neoknot alone when she threw her juvenile attacks at people all afternoon.
Funny thing, that. You're not the fair-minded mediator you seem to think you are.
But go ahead and tell me just what I'm supposed to cede to BJ.

Ah ah Ah, Plunger! I must be allowed to rebut: I NEVER criticised your POST. I found the writing and format ill-considered, and critiqued that instead.
I would love to have a conversation with you on what your ideas are, however (really! I am NOT being a sarcastic shit here).

By the way, Darwinita,
It took about 30 seconds before you were telling someone to fuck off, so really, practice what you preach.
I have yet to swear at any of you, and I"ve taken their abuse for half a year.

Thalia:
I did not accuse you of insulting anyone or of using profanity. I accused you of being a tool...a convenient target who can be relied upon time and time again to have the thinnest skin on the internet, thereby ensuring a nonstop food fight all day long when those who are paid to attack you do so.
You are being played by those who prefer that these pages be utilized more for heat than light.
Darwinta:
If you wish to discuss the posting I made this morning, please refer to it in detail, and feel free to refute any of my positions that you choose...with specificity - to include links to back up your positions. By: plunger on May 10, 2006 at 07:14pm
Sorry, Plunger, but when they lie about me, I'm going to correct the record.
Unfortunately, they can't just accept that and move on. Instead, they launch into their usual garbage.
EVeryone here knows I come in here to discuss politics. But everyone also knows that these fools have been pecking at me since last fall. You try having a conversation when you've got stalkers and harassers and people spewing the things Neo and BJ and Anonymous do, who lie about you.
It's constant, Plunger. But always good to see like minded people, like you and Darwinita, defending those losers and attacking me!
THAT is typical left-wing self-righteous, self-blaming garbage.
Neo stopped because enough people got on her case for her relentless and obsessive assaults on me (and others). She has now been granted a new license by Darwinita.
Nice move, Darwin! By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 07:17pm

Hardly thin skinned.
The thin-skinned people are the ones who resort to the explosive profane attacks on others.
I have never done so. But as I said, when they tell lies about things I've said, I will call them on it.
If you don't like it, get on them to stop lying, like a lot of people here do. They slither away.
I call them on their political positions, Plunger, and you know it. They seem only able to argue politics by getting personal and juvenile.
Not my problem. By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 07:19pm
Thalia. Go back and review. I DID say I was going to a meeting.
Please focus. I never said anything at all about any 9/11 widow. Even after I looked it up, I just didn't care that much cuz she hasn't posted anything here in a month, and I couldn't find anything more recent.
I was talking about YOU.
Not the issues,
not the widows,
YOU.
I base this strictly on the fact that BJ has proven himself capable of compromise to me.
You have proved that you aren't.
Thus, I know with whom I can have an interesting conversation, and that's the reason for my visits.
Even this is fascinating to me, as every post you make teaches me more about you.
remember this moment we shared?
http://darwinita.blogspot.com/2006/04/like-im-some-kinda-moderator....
I do.
Let's get down to brass tacks. At no point did I ever engage on any topic other than how we can all have discussions without tearing each other to pieces.
D
PS I don't want you to cede SHIT to BJ. I want you to cede to ME that I at least have a point on the topic of polite discourse.
I have not attacked you personally.
Ihave not talked shit about your family.
I haven't even surmised that you're young or old.
I did use the words "shrill and humourless." This is my opinion of you, even if we share many political opinions.
PPS Remember that this is a public post? And that the price of freedom of speech is the consequences? If you can cede THAT, I'll concede EVERYTHING ELSE.
PPPS- As for finding tasteless stuff funny, that's why they call it tasteless- du-hoi! By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 07:21pm
Oh Thalia, I vow to you here and now, if, after this day, I see Neo or any of the others pecking at you for fun because you let them (AND BY YOUR OWN ADMISSION!!!~
"Sorry, Plunger, but when they lie about me, I'm going to correct the record."
YOU ADMIT IT!!!)
I swear to you I shall give them firm shit.
Teasing you isn't worth it- it's like kicking puppies: effortlessly mean.
Plunger is exactly right- you ARE a tool. I only wish I got paid though. I think he sees hordes getting paid to sit typing in small rooms. Not this kid, buddy!
Plunge- I consider myself a Libertarian and I think the Admin we have going is a pack of crazed poo-flinging monkeys who eat the Constitution for lunch and are falling none too fast for me.
I just hope the power vacuum doesn't suck in more of the same. I am going to go back and read your post right now. By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 07:28pm
Sorry, Darwinita, you are full of it.
You want to talk about polite discourse, yet you attack the person who has NOT engage in vulgar personal attacks on others.
That makes no sense whatsoever.
The issue today WAS BJ's bashing of a 9/11 victim. You want to change the topic to your being the angel of polite discourse.
Calling someone shrill and humorless and telling them to fuck off is hardly polite discourse.
So seriously, practice what you preach, Darwinita.
You spent the day cozying up to two of the most vulgar and deranged posters on here while attacking one who does not use foul language, does not speak in sexual vulagarities at others, etc.
Wrong target.
Your argument simply makes no sense. You cozy up to the two most implolite posters to make some case for polite posting.
That is irrational.
I'm not impressed. You came on here and launched into some preachy, self-righteoud diatribe when you did not even know the topic.
As I said, if you are going to attack someone and critize them, at least get informed as to what the discussion is.
I don't take you very seriously, Darwin, because it seems like your ego is invovled here more than anything. The irony here is that the reason I began addressing BJ and Neoknot after months of taking real abuse from them is precisely because I couldnt' stand the ugly rhetoric and dialogue. That is also why I have refused to tell people to fuck off, or call them names, or go personal in any way. I just don't.
So you case doesn't even make sense. As I said, the only reason Neoknot changed her ways is because she was so virulent and caustic and brutal, no one could stand her, and she was pretty much determined to be the most vile poster here. She stopped because people confronted her directly about her abuse. They didn't play level playing field like you would like us to do.
It simply isn't level, Darwinita. BJ is vulgar and gross. You simply do not know what you are talking about here. Butt out.
You want to discuss politics? Then do so. It is unfortunate that you butt in at all. It is even moreso that you did when you didn't even know what we were talking about.
Preach to some other audience. By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 07:36pm
No thanks, Darwin. I don't want you on my side.
Just butt out. I can handle myself. But girl, you don't have a clue what you did today.
*** Actually I do. The fact that the consequences are going to make you crazy is your responsibility. You could actually just not care.
I do admire someone who tells people to fuck off saying they just want polite political discourse, though! That was amusing.
By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 07:40pm
I notice you've started the troll trick of mutating my name around. That's a good one.
And if someone tells me to mind my own business on a public post, that's what they get. I thought you were a progressive? a Liberal? A proponent for free speech~! I didn't use profanity until you overstepped bounds.
Neo and BJ and peacekitten and anyone else willing to engage with me on equal terms gets politeness from ME. But just cus "you were here first" doesn't mean you get to tell me what to do.
Plunger-
I really liked your ideas about Greenspan and the interest rate. Now I know why adjusted rate and interest only made me so leery!
The stuff about money being an illusion at the beginning kinda makes you sound like a crackpot, though- this is why you lose people. Consider your audience, and who they are, what their priorities are. Once you make that initial emotional connection with them, then you can move on and take your readers with you.
If you start by saying money is an illusion, Average Reader will say, "Oh, yeah? Is that why I have such an empty wallet?" and you lose them right there.
Thank you for conversing with me. By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 07:51pm
Thalia, BlueinBama, Reademandweep, Gamboyaya, were all over me. They are paid trolls who are disrupting Huff Post political debate.
I had held my peace for a long time but realized that sometimes you have to keep them in place. Then leave it at that. They are delusional and are trouble makers. They don't contribute to the society, they are parasites.
plunger is right that you are being used as a tool. I know you can debate and so don't stoop their level. You will look like an idiot like them. By: EZ on May 10, 2006 at 07:52pm

Get over yourself. You are really boorish.

NEA's as a PLURAL
hey loki, maybe that "dumbing down" part is where the NEA leaders want our education to remain. They sure do fight "no child left behind", and when we say that, they get hostile,, and say "oh no, we do not oppose no child left behind, just the underfunding of it". RIGHT!!!! Then please tell me why they oppose the voucher system where a parent can take their child out, and get the same money received by the public system, and take it with the child, to either another public school, or private school. If it is enough to assist in educating the child in a "Private" school, what's the problem with the "voucher" system?Oh, I understand, it's taking money from the inferior schools, that the radical left wingers want to keep "just as they are". Don't institute "No Child Left Behind", and don't dare institute the "voucher" system. They DO enjoy the "dumbing down" and want it continued..... Don't you dare test my child and show the WORLD what WE taught them in our INFERIOR schools! How dare you, WE'RE in charge, and we like it that way. "NEA" = No Educational Alternative's

Darwinita Makes New Friends
Here's a great idea-Confiscate every Hummer on the road ( by virtue of eminent domain- if you can do it for the benefit of a strip mall developer in New London CT you can certainly do THIS).
Let those shrill bitches in Ann Arbor, Scottsdale, Westport and Coral Gables get a Prius to do their grocery shopping in. The parking will be better, people's moods will improve because these women might have a car they can DRIVE, and there will be fewer accidents be cause people could see around others' cars.Make sure you take all the hummers belonging to rappers and overcompensating businessmen too- they just don't annoy me as personally.
Send every hummer over to Iraq so that the troops MIGHT be resonably supplied- and then leave them there when we bring our people home- they got so much oil over there, let THEM drive those stupid pieces of shit.I hate those vehicles with a burning irritation.
Anyone got some cream?

in response to a couple of posts...
angryoldman- do us all a favor and stop SHOUTING in CAPITAL LETTERS
plunger- you'll be more effective if you post an abstract and then link us to your blog if you capture interest- as it is I scroll through obscenely long posts.
By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 11:29am
If I did have a blog, the approach you recommend would not likely be more effective. Posting 100% original content is exactly what many here have been asking me to do, claiming that the "cut & paste" approach is somehow less effective.I dare say my ideas are already having an impact around the web, by posting my thoughts where the eyeballs reside, rather than creating my own separate blog, and competing for brand awareness and eyeballs. You are recommending that I poach traffic from Huffpo and divert it to my own site. I think my existing tactic is more appropriate than that.If you can explain the entire conspiracy which has befallen us within a couple paragraphs, have at it.
By: plunger on May 10, 2006 at 11:42am
Sorry- I don't buy that. With the four other people groaning that you're hijacking the thread (again) you may want to rethink your tactics. I read one paragraph (maybe) see that it goes on for seventeen, and start scrolling. Your ideas have no impact on me because you are not presenting them in a way that catches my interest. One MIGHT argue that this is the point of communicating. aAs far as THIS reader is concerned, you'll have to do better than that, buddy. As for the conspiracies that we are all victim to, m'dear, you're not the voice of authority on that one as far as I can tell ( I think this way because your work does not spark my interest). The myriad eyeballs that reside here belong to people intelligent enough to wade through the MSM and the independent internet outlets and come up with their own conclusions. Unless they're backwash. Then independent thought is something they'll have to get installed.

Why not start with an interest grabbing thesis and then go to the link, or a link? Summarize your theory in a way that will intrigue the reader, and some will play along.I'm rooting for you because I think you are sincerely trying to educate others to what you perceive as the truth and you are persistent. The goal is to get others to hear you right? If you were posting French on a English only site, you'd not expect much, right? Similarly, your format is not working. Consider changing the format and you'll get more readers, which is your goal.Good luck.

Darwinita:A single posting hardly constitutes "hijacking the thread." As stated, it was all one original thought, not a compilation or a cut & paste. When the subject is "unraveling a conspiracy," brevity is not possible, as evidenced by your own failure to provide a summation in a couple paragraphs. You suggest that thinking individuals can connect the thousands of dots for themselves by simply reading what is available to them.I completely disagree. How is the AIPAC spy scandal related to the future bombing of Iran AND the Plame leak AND the Mainstream Media AND wiretaps?

Well, sorry, Darwinita, I DO know how Breitweiser is, and the area I live in is littered with 9/11 victims, so it is very offensive to people who actually felt that day and don't use it politically. You are relatively new here, Darwinita, and you don't know what you're talking about. But if BJ and Neo are more t o your liking, cool!Gotta go. Ciao.
By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 02:00pm
Correct you are, and we must not be a very polite group. I don't know about your mother, but mine swore by the credo, "never discuss politics or religion in pleasant company":-)
By: NeoKnot on May 10, 2006 at 02:12pm
But I still think BJ has a point. Once you put yourself out the public to promote an idea, agenda, etc., you are fair game. By: Gordon on May 10, 2006 at 02:18pm Gordon,BJ doesn't think Breitweiser is "fair game" simply because he disagrees with her positions. Bj's sole position is, anyone who criticizes Bush deserves to be attacked, called a traitor, sexually solicited, and otherwise personally assaulted. The sole requirement is merely disagreeing with or criticizing George Bush. That is NOT reasonable at all.
By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 02:32pm
OK now that I've figured out who Kristen Breitweiser is, can someone please tell me (in JUST ONE SENTENCE!) what got Thalia's knickers all twisted?
By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 02:32pm

By: peacekitten on May 10, 2006 at 02:48pm
Go back and read Darwinita's chastising of me, Readem. She is Neo's newest friend. I think she doesn't really grasp what Neo is about (although, in fairness to Darwinita, Neo has changed her ways in recent months from when she was considered by most here to be the most vile and hate-filled poster. I think she realized it wasn't working for her).
By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 02:53pm
Jesus Christ, Thalia, you are enough to try the patience of a saint. Grow up. I'm starting to understand the temptation. Humourless people really are a target.Don't pout, honey. Your face will freeze like that.

izzat so? Hang with liars, comport yourself with cowards, enhance your life with people who have no morals. Then come around one more time.

OK now that I've figured out who Kristen Breitweiser is, can someone please tell me (in JUST ONE SENTENCE!) what got Thalia's knickers all twisted? By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 02:32pm Maybe Thaila gets upset because she comes here to converse with other progressive minded people and along comes BJTard in an attempt to disrupt the thread because he has a different view.My unsolicited opinion is however, That BJtard doesn't bash Thalia because he disagrees with her comments, but instead needs her disgust aimed toward him as a masturbation trigger.Maybe one day Thaila will realize that, ignore BJtard, and spend her time sharing her opinions with those of us who would like to read her views instead of being used by BJtard in lieu of having a puncture proof sex doll in his possession.
By: GumboYaYa on May 10, 2006 at 03:05pm

By: peacekitten on May 10, 2006 at 02:48pm Where, peace, have I said I abhor personal attacks? I feel that (at least in this instance) they are well deserved. And she is free to answer at her leisure. The point is, she won't. Darwanita is telling her exactly what we've been trying to tell her for months. She is vile, humorless, mean spirited and suffers from a passive/agressive disorder. I was hoping beyond hope that maybe, coming from someone who shares her opinions on politics, it might make her realize just how nasty she can be. It didn't work, instead, now she has relegated a very good poster to a blogging life of utter misery and disdain aimed at her. In her post she stated that I changed my posting, well.....yes I did. I think if soemthing doesn't work, you try another tact. It's very sad that she is so bitter and angry, she doesn't see the need for change in herself.
By: NeoKnot on May 10, 2006 at 03:07pm
Dang, thank you, Neo. Just for the record, as a human being as well, I am prone to the temptation to start slinging shit too- it takes a lot of counting to tens and backspacing to keep myself from it sometimes.

You may have a point, but let's be fair. Thalia does bang on a bit, and is absolutely incapable of any kind of compromise that I've seen on this board. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/philip-slater/two-addictions-that-cri...This post on the blog sums up Thalia PERFECTLY. It's attitudes like Thalia's, and I would have said until today BJCLINTON as well, that will keep us divided as opposed to united, no matter what side of the aisle we sit on. PS- I'll go back and paste in BJ's post from earlier that made me believe that behind all the hyperbole and deliberate obnoxiousness for effect there is a resonable human- just not one I agree with.
By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 03:17pm
Thanks, KneoKnotHead. You have just showed the entire blogathon your ignorance and stupidity.Have you ever countered a post from Thalia, or from anybody for that matter...with facts or arguments concerning the topic? Not once. You may not like Thalia's style, but she researches topics and gives her take on them. You have nothing to say to counter the topic at hand, only the style. You are as useless as tits on a bull, and have no center.
By: reademandweep on May 10, 2006 at 03:18pm
See, this is the kind of crap I have been fighting on this post for a while now. Do you think she cares what you call her? Do you think this wins you any kind of point? No. It marginalizes you. Whatever you answer back to me is just playyard bullshit, and I won't be impressed with it. What does impress me is civil discourse. I no longer care what side of the aisle it comes from. There are too many conservatives that think Bushco sucks too for us not to at least TRY to come together. You are not the solution. You're not even part of the problem. I picture you as some kid behind a chain link fence with his fingers hooked into the holes, watching the grownups drive away for fun and exciting adventures while he's stuck in the schoolyard. Are you wearing a baseball cap too?
By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 03:25pm

By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 12:11pm
Darwinita:A single posting hardly constitutes "hijacking the thread." As stated, it was all one original thought, not a compilation or a cut & paste. When the subject is "unraveling a conspiracy," brevity is not possible, as evidenced by your own failure to provide a summation in a couple paragraphs. You suggest that thinking individuals can connect the thousands of dots for themselves by simply reading what is available to them.I completely disagree. How is the AIPAC spy scandal related to the future bombing of Iran AND the Plame leak AND the Mainstream Media AND wiretaps?

Never have I personally said one word about this widow woman because I still haven't caught up on the reading ( I'm posting while correcting papers).I think a lot of people would disagree with you when you say I don't have a sense of humor. I have a very good one. But it is true that I don't find attacks on a woman who lost her husband on 9/11 and sexual solicitations full of humor. Thalia- You must not be watching a whole lot of TV these days. I personally reccommend Keith Olbermann- not only is he a happy progressive, but he's snarky as hell and cute to boot. You do. Good. You've got company here in BJ and Neoknot, if this is the kind of company you like to keep.Thalia- Even if they are politcally in disagreement with me, I'm able to enjoy some repartee.

By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 11:06am
in response to a couple of posts...
angryoldman- do us all a favor and stop SHOUTING in CAPITAL LETTERS
plunger- you'll be more effective if you post an abstract and then link us to your blog if you capture interest- as it is I scroll through obscenely long posts.

Oh Lordy, Beej- if we keep on like this, there'll be rumours... tee hee!
By: plunger on May 10, 2006 at 12:16pm
Let 'em talk. I'm hot for teacher...tee hee!

By: feminazi on May 10, 2006 at 12:29pm
It's true that BJ's bashing of Kristen Breitweiser, a 9/11 widow, disgusted me to the point of feeling nauseous. You, like BJ, apparently are okay with the bashing of 9/11 victims so long as it pisses off some stranger on a blog you have become irrationally fixated with.So bravo, Neoknot! Cheer on BJ's bashing on 9/11 widows. You keep fantastic company, Neo.
By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 12:39pm
You suggest that thinking individuals can connect the thousands of dots for themselves by simply reading what is available to them.I completely disagree.By: plunger on May 10, 2006 at 12:16pm Wow. I give people far mor credit than that. That sounds almost Big Brotherish in its contempt for the thinking capabilities of the people who post here.Either you're all ideology in theory, with no social skills and no means of gauging your audience,or you're a political despot from the other end of the bell curve who ought to be marginalized too.I don't know- your posts are TOO POORLY WRITTEN to BOTHER WADING THROUGH.Really- if BJCLINTON and I (who are politically opposed, but seeming to be growing closer together in our cyber-pants ;) ) both agree that you need to reformat your presentation, you might want to take that into account instead of huffily insulting the intelligence of the people you want to read your work.
By: Darwinita on May 10, 2006 at 12:52pm
OK, guys- stop picking on Thalia just because it's easy.I have often stated that I agree with Thalia politically. However, this does not prevent her from drawing the bullseye on her head with a total lack of any kind of sense of humour.Yes, yes, Thalia, you'll fight for the light and damn them all to hell, but you're just going to give yourself an infarction if you don't lighten the hell up. I'm ABSOLUTELY sure that BJCLINTON for example, made a snotty remark (or 30) about your dad, but if you can't learn to laugh at yourself, you're going to sow the seeds of bitterness in your soul. Not only that, these vultures will rip you apart at the soft spot because you keep showing it to them.My mom is like that- she's completely incapable of laughing at herself, and it makes me sad for her. It's like she's missing a limb and doesn't even know it.I used to spew venom with the best of them on this site, but I have really internalized the philosophy of polite discourse, and when I'm trying to be funny, I try NOT to do it at the expense of the people I spend my cyber-time with. So, those of you tinged Red, please try to resist poking at Thalia just because she's being shrill and humourless.Thalia, try to understand that some of these remarks are hyperbole and exaggeration. If they've turned into personal attacks on you, maybe you ought to ignore them initially and not internalize them so deeply. It's just the Internet, darlin.'...though I've probably earned myself another sincerely indignant lecture for daring to constructively criticize.

By: BJClinton on May 10, 2006 at 01:20pm
Darwinita joins BJ and Neoknot in thinking bashing 9/11 widows is fun and funny and hyperbole and should be shrugged off. Anyone else? You're right, Darwinita, I don't see the humor in bashing a woman whose husband was killed in those attacks.I guess I'm shrill and humorless for not seeing it. Shame on me.Interesting you don't think Neoknot calling people assholes and fucking bitch cunts and whores and BJ solicitin women on the Interent and calling people's fathers molesters shrill and humorless (or do you actually consider that sort of thing to be humor?). No, you chastise someone for trying to keep the dialogue at least civil. But I guess lack of vulgarity and personal assaults and assaults on 9/11 widows makes one "shrill" and "humorless."I think a lot of people would disagree with you when you say I don't have a sense of humor. That makes one humorless and shrill. By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 01:29pm
Uh oh Darwanita, you stepped in it now. You're in deep doo doo!I tend to agree with you Beej, having lost a family member to 911 does not all of a sudden a political guru make.

By: plunger on May 10, 2006 at 12:16pm

I have a very good one. But it is true that I don't find attacks on a woman who lost her husband on 9/11 and sexual solicitations full of humor. You do. Good. You've got company here in BJ and Neoknot, if this is the kind of company you like to keep.Such is your prerogative.

Darwanita, I just stood up and cheered your last comment. YOU ROCK OUT LOUD chickie! By: NeoKnot on May 10, 2006 at 01:19pm Congratulations, Darwinita. You've won over the hearts of the 9/11 widows bashing club.Better to stay in their good graces, I guess, than to express disgust and dismay at the bashing of 9/11 victims.
If you want to express your opinions, fine! But expect to be questioned and/or disagreed with. Isn't it nice that we live in a society that being able to disagree with someone isn't outlawed? Too bad the shrew doesn't get it.

You're right, Darwinita, I don't see the humor in bashing a woman whose husband was killed in those attacks.I guess I'm shrill and humorless for not seeing it. Shame on me.Thalia- I haven't even researched this woman. I still need to do my homework. I was talking about YOU.Interesting you don't think Neoknot calling people assholes and fucking bitch cunts and whores and BJ solicitin women on the Interent and calling people's fathers molesters shrill and humorless (or do you actually consider that sort of thing to be humor?). No, you chastise someone for trying to keep the dialogue at least civil. Thalia- they haven't called ME that. Why am I the exception to what you perceive as the rule? Maybe you ought to think about that. Self-reflection is a beautiful thing. Every time you pint a finger, the other three are pointing back at yourself, and the thumb's trying to hold it all together. Try it and see!But I guess lack of vulgarity and personal assaults and assaults on 9/11 widows makes one "shrill" and "humorless."Thalia- no, what makes you shrill is your self-righteousness and deliberate obfuscation of meaning. You're as bad as any troll when it comes to that. We're still all Americans here.Such is your prerogative. By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 01:21pm Yes, it is. Enjoy that pedestal, darlin'.

Go back and read Darwinita's chastising of me, Readem. She is Neo's newest friend. I think she doesn't really grasp what Neo is about (although, in fairness to Darwinita, Neo has changed her ways in recent months from when she was considered by most here to be the most vile and hate-filled poster. I think she realized it wasn't working for her).
By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 02:53pm

Thalia- wow, I must have really hit a nerve for you to be spending so much time thinking about what I said.
Thanks for the warnings about the others with no emotional restraints. I think I'm grown enough to judge their words and take care of myself.
You don't like what people have to say about you or what your opinion is on topic du jour, go write in a diary.

Anyone else beginning to think maybe Darwinita isn't all there?
Yes, Darwinita, MYOB if you don't know about which you are speaking, which you didn't, and you admitted you didn't, in the Breitweiser situation.
You inflamed this blog today by posting a schoolmarm lecture to me, getting Neoknot all excited and unleashing her garbage all over the place, when you did not even know Kristen Breitweiser!
So who is it really who disrupted this thread? You. You admitted you didn't even know who this woman was, you do not konw what BJ Said about her, and you admitted AFTER inflaming the place and posting your sermons to me, full of venom which you claim to hate, that you knew literally NOTHING about the situation.
So yes, in those cases, MYOB before you scold someone for something you are completely ignorant about.
At any rate, if you care to explain for me how telling someone to "go fuck herself" is a nice style that brings people together, I'd love to hear it.
Or is that more of that Neo "well, YOU deserve it" thing? By: Thalia on May 10, 2006 at 04:25pm
Hey- at least I have the courage to admit when I don't know something. Then I fix the ignorance.
As for the "go fuck yourself bit," well, that IS exactly what you get when you try to stifle someone on a public board. and yes, MYOB is exactly that.
So are you grown enough to admit YOU make mistakes?
I'll check later to see if you post more of the same.
The Left does NOT need help like YOU. Please go read the post they just put up about the Dems- it really describes you to a tee.
I may be a fan of compromise and polite discourse, but that NEVER excludes the words "fuck" (one o me faves!) and I am certainly not going to lie down for your self-righteousness.
Y'know what? You're going to twist that any way you like, and I have a meeting. Just know that wherever justice and fairness rquire a voice, I shall speak up.
PS Remember I got BJ to behave and stop calling ME names. Don't you wish you could?

Lots of generalizations in there, Coop ole buddy, but you're too hasty. I read Thalia's posts for weeks before telling her my opinin of her publicy posted remarks. This is the nature of the forum. She don't like it, she's more than welcome to ignore me.

There's an earlier post in which I take BOTH BJ and Thalia to task for what had to be the NASTIEST sniping session I ever seen here, and only BJ was man enough to concede I had a point.
THIS was what decided me that I could have a conversation with BJ, even if he was playing silly buggers all over other posts.
I really really don't give a shit what side of the aisle one is on- if one is incapable of compromise, then one is a troll- even our own Lady of Self-Virtue Thalia.
I didn't lose respect for her ploitically; she's often insightful and on target and believes passionately in her position.
Where she lost me as a fan was when she showed herself utterly incapapble of compromise, or even acknowleging that there might be a point in another's post.
She might go on about the virulence of the attacks, blah blah blah, but quite frankly, it's the INTERNET- none of us actually know each other, so who gives a shit? Internalizing it so personally makes her look unstable.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE coop- go check out my blog. I basically cherry pick my conversations with people on this post and publish them for my own reference later.

This is for everyone- whether you've tangled with BJ or Thalia or both- and then judge for yourself.
